The Centre of Biological Engineering (CEB) has passed today the milestone of 5.000 research publications deposited at RepositóriUM, the institutional repository of the University of Minho. Last January CEB went beyond the milestone of 4.000 publications.
The RepositóriUM aims at storing, preserving, disseminating and granting access to the intellectual production of the University of Minho in digital format. It also intends to maximize the visibility, use and impact of the University Minho’s research through open access. CEB was one of the pioneer communities during the launch of the RepositóriUM, 12 years ago, and it is now its largest community, even greater than the total of the 2nd largest School of UMinho, with open access to 93% of its deposited publications.
The importance of the CEB’s publications is confirmed by the 1.4 million items downloaded, with an average of 280 downloads per document.
