The University of Costa Rica picks the students up at the airport and takes them to the host home.
The dates of the orientation session vary in accordance to the arrival of the students. The session comprises two days:

First day:
Lecture on cross cultural interaction
Lecture on basic aspects of living in Costa Rica
Tour around the campus
Lecture on the main services at the UCR

Second day:
Academic guidance
Visa and Health counseling
Visa and other permits

The University of Costa Rica offers assistance to get a student visa.
