ESBES-2 - Symposium Tour with Abreu Tours Full Day Minho

Booking for this Tour can be made on Wednesday, 16 September or on Thursday morning, 17 September, at the Conference Centre. 08h30 - Departure from Hotel to visit the Northern Province of Portugal - Minho, one of the most beautiful and historic regions of Portugal. First stop at GUIMARÃES, the Nation's birthplace, including a visit to the Duke's Palace and a on foot guided tour of the historical centre. The excursion proceeds to the city of BRAGA, the Archbishop's seat, to visit its Cathedral and the Church of Bom Jesus do Monte. Here there is a lunch stop. The tour continues to VIANA DO CASTELO, the capital of Portuguese folklore, known for its colourful costumes, embroidery and filigree jewellery. Stroll around the Historical Centre. Return to the Hotel along the coast road, passing through several picturesque fishing villages en route. Arrival in Oporto at around 18h00.

08h15 - Meet at Oporto S. Bento Railway Station. Board the train and depart for Régua.

11h30 - Arrive at Régua and board the boat to sail back down the River Douro to Oporto. Aperitifs and lunch will be served on board. The Cruise will pass through the Carrapatelo and Crestuma/Lever Dams. 19h00 - Arrive at 'Ribeira' Quay and transfer to the Hotel.
